Summer Aventures 08 Event report
Event report
On the weekend of 14th and 15th June over 40 vehicles made their way to South Wales for Muddy Bottom 4x4s first trip to the famous Seven Sisters off road site. The weekend was blessed by some most un-Welsh sunshine, which allowed full enjoyment of the 1600+ acres on offer. However weeks of rain leading up to the event meant that mud and deep water as well as rocks and hills could be tackled.

The event was run as an adventure challenge weekend, Activities which were optional included guided tours, a punch card challenge and a maxi trial section.
And after a full day of offloading on Friday, people were able to swap stories of how deep and steep the routes were over a few drinks and a BBQ back at the campsite.

Saturday morning was cloud less and sunny as all the participating vehicles lined up in the large car park at the north end of the site. The vehicles were mostly Land Rovers, with a small showing from Suzuki, Daihatsu and Nissan, many of whom made the trip up from the south coast.
After a quick briefing from the marshals, the vehicles filtered off keen to get and explore the site. For many this was the first visit to the site so a familiarisation tour lead by two marshals was well attended. This tour was a quick trip round the main points on the site, still taking nearly 2 hours to complete.
