Muddy Bottom 4x4 is a club run by off-road enthusiasts to improve off-road skills / recovery skills all in a natural environment. We are a family orientated club incorporating some extreme off-roading for the more adventurous nutter !!!! All of our marshals / staff are extremely friendly and helpful should you have any questions regarding any aspect of off-roading.
Location
Muddy Bottom 4x4 is extremely fortunate to be located within the 'Minstead Manor' Estate. Located just off Junction 1 of M27, the site comprises of all aspects of off-roading from bomb hole wood, river & ford crossings, clay holes, steep hills, treacherous bog areas, axle twisting obstacles, wooden step section. Upon entering you will find toilet facilities to your right, along with spectator parking and kiosk. On your left will be the catering trailer and picnic area so families with young children can sit under the trees, and have a bite to eat. This are is cordoned off to make it safer for the children to play.

Over the past few months, we have taken a great deal of time to create new areas and have individually marked each obstacle/area. The main reason for this is to make it easier for the marshals to assist in recoveries when called upon. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE ANY OF THESE MARKERS, THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON AND NOT TO BE TAKEN AWAY. Please do not drive through any bunting, this is placed for a reason, also at no time should anybody drive through the boundary fencing / stock fencing.
Site Requirements
RECOVERY POINTS / WINCHES
Vehicles MUST be fitted with front and rear recovery points and adequate off-road/mud tyres. If your vehicle is equipped with a winch, please ensure winch blankets are used at all times. Adequate towing ropes must be used, Kinetic Ropes are prohibited at Muddy Bottom 4x4. Anyone found to be acting irresponsibly whilst winching / recovering will be asked to leave the site. If you are not experienced at recovering please seek help from one of our many marshals.
SEAT BELTS
If your vehicle is fitted with seatbelts, it is compulsory that they are worn at all times whilst on the site. At no time should anybody sit in the back of vehicles unless there is proper seating and fitted seatbelts. All children must use seatbelts / child seats. This is for safety reasons and for the safety of others around you. Anyone not adhering to this rule will be asked to leave the site immediately.
We do reserve the right to refuse admission.
INSURANCE
All vehicles MUST be insured, please ensure you hold adequate insurance to cover yourself whilst on the site. Non MOT'd vehicles are allowed onto the site (obviously these need to be trailered to the site. Anyone driving recklessly will be asked to leave immediately. This is for safety and others around you.
CHILDREN
ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES, NO CHILD MUST BE LEFT UNACCOMPANIED. THIS IS FOR THEIR SAFETY. WE ARE TRYING TO ENCOURAGE MORE FAMILIES TO USE THE SITE, PLEASE HELP US TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE AT MUDDY BOTTOM !!!!
